Définition

Réseau sans fil 1Mb/s à très courte distance, créé par Ericsson en 1994.

Bluetooth permet d'atteindre une bande passante spatiale de 30kb/s/m². Comparer avec 802.11a, 802.11b, 802.15.3, UWB, HomeRF.

C'est une marque déposée gérée par le Bluetooth Special Interest Group.
